Who Am I?

Hi I'm Lalit Saini

I am Electrical Engineer by study but a coder by heart. I am mainly interested in Machine Learning, Deep Learning and their applications. I am also interested in automating stuff using python. In Electrical field I would like to work in automation.

Apart from this I am a good sportsman. I play cricket, table tennis, badminton, pool and e-games. Music is my escape and I am fond of comedy. I think myself as budding standup comedian too. I am a MCU follower and like only batman form DC Universe.

Education

Education

Currently I am pursuing my Bachelor Degree from Electrical Engineering Department in Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Along with my major degree I am pursuing Minor Degree in Computer Science. I am managing to have descent CPI. In EE I am interested in Analog Ciruit Design and Digital Logics.

In summer-20, I completed an online course on Computer Vision provided by Microsoft on edX. The course lectures were not that good but the assignments cleared everything. You can find the certificate on my Linkedin.

Like every other neewbie in the field of Machine Learning, I started my journey from the famous Machine Learning course on Coursera by Prof. Andrew Ng, in summer-19. I liked the course but due to insufficient information there, I continued my endeavour and explored a number of online posts and few books. You can see the completion certificate on my Linkedin

I completed my Higher Education from St. Wilfred's Sr. Sec. School, Jaipur, Rajasthan . I pursued science stream with mathematics and like every other science student, I was deeply into physics. I liked mathematics too and was pretty good at that until epsilon-delta converged my interest to a limit in college.

Experience

Work Experience

ML Intern: IDfy May 2020

I did my first internship at IDfy as ML Software Developer . At starting I worked on migrating an app to Python3 from Python2, the work contained much more complications than expected. After that I worked on finding a method to detect skew in images without learning approach purely by classical techniques of Image Processing. At last I worked on signature extraction from cards. Apart from these I worked on some small problems. I can't tell how I did any of the thing because I signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement with the company.

App Developer: Mood Indigo December 2019

I was part of the team who developed the official app of the Mood Indigo , Asia's largest college cultural fest. I worked mainly on fest event APIs, their integration and UI in the app. The app was a great hit.

Web Secretary: EESA, IITB 2019-2020

I worked as the Web Secretary for Electrical Engineering Students' Association, IITB. I renovated the website and took part in managing EESA events like trek, cultural nights, movie screening, orientation etc.

Convenor: WnCC, IITB 2019-2020

I worked as a convenor of Web and Coding Club, IITB. I assisted in coding events and hackathon. I helped many juniors in coding and development.

Membership Inference Attack

Machine Learning I with my group members implemented a research paper on Membership Inference Attack on Machine Learning service APIs.

Super-Resolution-Images

Deep Learning | Computer Vision I attempt to create high resolution MNIST images using Lower resolution images. Read more about it from the README of the directory.

Face Based Attendence System

Image Processing | Computer Vision I created a web based platform to store employee facial features and use them to detect the presence of one in an office. It is very basic tool but can be integrated with other system to get most out of it.

ML Gym

Machine Learning I started a open source project and mentored few of my juniors in summer-20 to complete it. The project aims at providing user interface to play with ML algorithms and see the results changing. The APIs available in the market do not allow users to pla with the parameters , we aim at making complete user controlled gui based platform to work on data.
